“And Samuel said, hath the Lord a great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thon hast rejected the word of the Lord, He hath also rejected thee from being king” 1 Samuel 15:22-23 

Human beings are sometimes stubborn and rebellious in nature. And it is amazing to see the gross spiritual rebellion going on in the Church today. In spite of the good messages, teachings and pastoral cares, a lot of people have made up their minds not to change or hearken to the word of God and their attitude is affecting the young converts and the growth of their local Church. 

Samuel the Prophet confronted King Saul and asked him why he had not obeyed the Lord fully and he was giving excuses to show that he obeyed God, but his obedience was not complete at all. Partial obedience is equal to disobedience. God wants us to obey Him promptly and correctly without delay. 

How many Christians are still living with a woman or man they are not married with and they have not seen anything wrong in it despite of the pastor’s counsel and rebuke? The Church is despised when we refuse to take care of our life-styles because the best evangelism is evangelism by excellence…
