What is Divine Help?
To fully define what Divine Help is, I want us to look at some scriptures together.
“Adam knew Eve his wife; she conceived, and bore Cain and said: I have formed a man with the help of the Lord.” Genesis 4:1
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
“And he said: If the Lord does not help you, where can I find help for you? From the threshing floor or the winepress?” 2 Kings 6:27
Many people go to the wrong places and wrong people when they need help.
By doing so, they endanger the lives of these people because they put them in the place of God. The book of Isaiah 31:1 says:
“Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of chariots and in the strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the Lord!”
Where do you seek help when in need?
Now, let us discover together what Divine Help truly is. The word “divine” speaks of God, heaven; it evokes help from above (John 3:31).
- Divine Help is help emanating from God Himself, and there is nothing that human effort can do about it.
- It is help resulting from divine providence.
- Divine Help simply means help from above, not foreign help. He who comes from above is above all (John 3:31). Never believe in foreign promises because they are limited; the only promise that is sure is the one “from above” described above!
- Divine Help means being helped or supported by God to accomplish what you cannot do by your own efforts and earthly connections.
- Divine Help is having God always on your side. When God leans over you as your pillar. In other words, divine help is having God as your pillar. Psalm 118:7-9 says:
“The Lord is my help, and I rejoice in seeing my enemies. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.”
Isaiah 41:10 says: “I will come to your aid.”
- Divine Help is doing things easily or accomplishing things by the hand of God, without truly your personal efforts or without sweat.
- Divine Help is when God pushes you forward, makes you progress, and establishes you. And when God makes you advance or establishes you, no one can interfere or stop you. May the Lord make you advance from today in the Name of Jesus!
“Then Samuel said to the people: It is the Lord who established Moses and Aaron, and who brought your fathers up from the land of Egypt.” 1 Samuel 12:6
- Divine Help is being sustained or supported, it is being fortified by the Lord; the Lord is the One who fortifies you, say Amen!
- It is being encouraged and favored by God. There are many things you still struggle to do now, but when God’s favor comes, there will be divine speed or acceleration. And if you are favored, you will be scented and become an attraction and a magnet.
- Divine Help is God’s contribution to relieve your pain and difficulties in times of need.
- Divine Help is divine intervention at the right moment in your affairs to make you better than you were before.
- Divine Help is the invisible hand of God saving you from danger and calamity. And when God wants to help you, He sends men to you. God will send helpers your way! You will receive help this season in the Name of Jesus!
“I call from the east a bird of prey, from a far-off land a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do.” Isaiah 46:11
God brings a man from afar to fulfill His purpose. Men will locate you this season in the Name of Jesus. Many people are alone, woe to him who is alone (Ecclesiastes 4:10b).
You need help!
When you have done all you know how to do and nothing happens, it means you need help! Read Psalm 33:16-22, Exodus 17:12, even Moses himself with all his strength and power needed help. God’s help will come to you this season in abundance, not in detail.
- Finally, in simple language, without grand grammar, Divine Help is “grace,” the mercy and goodness of God in your efforts that make you unbeatable in life.
