Who is in the court?
Mordecai was there, just like you, waiting for a reward that you cannot see. Instead, you see those who do not work as hard as you being elevated, and you weep. Esther entered the king’s court and, in the blink of an eye, was elevated and became the superior of her uncle who raised her. Meanwhile, Mordecai was still at the gate.
You are not the first to go through what you are going through. The most important thing is to stay in the court of God, to be in His presence, and to ensure that you are faithful to your position in the palace. One day, the king will ask who is in the court.
It is undoubtedly unpleasant to be faithful to men. You suffer because you think your reward will come from men because you are loyal to them. Men do not reward faithfulness; the author of faithfulness is God through His son Jesus and the Holy Spirit that He sent to us.
Every time you are faithful, you are faithful to God, and He is the one who rewards those who diligently seek Him. But you must be in the court.
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6
When you are faithful in the court, all things work together for your good.
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
It seems good and joyful to be in the king’s court. In case you have been in this court shedding secret tears in your faithfulness waiting for the day the king will ask who is in the court, today is that day for you. Only the king knows the day of the reward and whom he will reward. Nevertheless, he does not reward those who serve for the sake of being seen.
Mordecai went secretly to tell the queen what the people had plotted against the king, and after an investigation, they found it to be true and recorded it in the book of the chronicles.
There is a book of chronicles for every believer, for each of their works, and today the book of chronicles will be opened for you. Mordecai served at the same post, Esther became queen, and he was still patient for years, waiting for the day of his honor.
A day came like this one when the Lord took the sleep from the king’s eyes, and he said since he could not sleep, he would look in the book of chronicles. Every time the eyes enter the book, there is always a discovery and a revelation.
Every time you look in the book, there is always a revelation and a rhema that will benefit you and those around you. Every time you cannot sleep, look in the book of life; every time you are troubled, look in the book of life; when you are agitated, look in the book of life; when things are strange, look again in the book of life. There is always something you can find in the book of life. Until you look in the book, you will not find where it is written concerning you.
The king looked in the book and having seen Mordecai, asked what had been done for Mordecai’s actions. Every time the book is opened, a reward is coming.
Let’s analyze Mordecai’s life a little. Suppose you are like him; you brought your sister or brother from the village to work where you work, and this brother became your director, and you can say nothing. You are still under the sun, but the person you brought is already driving a car and even has a chauffeur, and you still have to pretend not to know them.
The person you trained, when they come to the palace, you bow before them and say, “Long live the queen.” Is it easy to endure this situation? When you want to talk to them, you must bow; you cannot look at their face; you must check their schedule before coming to see them. Is it easy?
Normally, Mordecai should have resigned. Many in his place would have done so. But Mordecai stayed because he knew and sang in his heart that there is a God who never abandons His own. He watches Esther giving orders and sees her every day.
If you do not know God, your sufferings will have no end. Sufferings are for people who do not know God. When the enemy brings suffering, there is a joy in your heart that helps you through this suffering. People who do not know God remain in their sufferings, but those who know God pass through their sufferings. No matter what the enemy has planned, you cannot stay there because it is not your place.
Suffering is not God’s will for you.
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 2
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
Suffering was never in God’s plan for His people. It is our disobedience that brings sufferings. But when you return to God through Jesus Christ, your sufferings end. Yes, you may have been living through it for a long time, provided that you go through it and do not stay in it…
