YOU HAVE A CANAAN.
KEY VERSE: “Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.“ (Matthew 13:43, KJV)
To understand the importance of anointing, we must realize that we all have a Canaan to reach. But what exactly is Canaan? Canaan is the land to which God called Abraham while he was still in his father’s house. Abraham left his paternal home and journeyed to Canaan. Upon his arrival, he had a son, Isaac, who fathered Jacob, who in turn had twelve sons.
Due to a famine, Jacob and his family had to leave Canaan and move to Egypt. There, they multiplied and grew exceedingly numerous. After some time, a new king came to power and, feeling threatened by their presence, subjected them all to slavery. They worked hard, suffered, and prayed for 400 years. After those 400 years, the Lord appeared to Moses in a burning bush, saying:
“I have come down to rescue [Israel] from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey… I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.“ (Exodus 3:5, 7-8a, 10, KJV)
The Lord promised to lead Israel to Canaan. Egypt was their situation, but Canaan was their destination. You must never confuse your situation with your destination. Your situation is where you are in life, but your destination is where God has called you to be. I see you moving forward toward your destiny.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I rejoice and praise You today because my current situation is only a stepping stone to my destination.
