YOU HAVE A SOUND MIND.
In learning how to make good use of your intelligence, you must be aware of the reality that you have a sound mind. In 2 Timothy 1:7, Paul says:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Imagine if, throughout your childhood, your parents constantly told you that you have a sound mind instead of calling you stubborn or good-for-nothing. Imagine if every time you misbehaved or made a mistake, they corrected you lovingly and reminded you not to act that way because you have a sound mind. Think of the impact this would have had on your confidence and self-esteem.
But it is not too late. You can start today by telling yourself that you have a sound mind. Simply keep declaring: “I am insightful and of sound mind. I am super-intelligent and excellent.” When you speak this way, people may say you are proud or boastful, but do not let them intimidate you.
God has not given you a spirit of timidity, but of power, love, and a sound mind. This means you are powerful, loving, and mentally sound. When you combine these three qualities: strength, love, and sound reasoning; the result is excellence.
You are excellent!
Some people are powerful but not loving; others are loving but not intelligent. However, this does not apply to you; you have all three qualities. You are complete! You have a sound mind, and you must use it to transform your life and your world.
