Your faith should go ahead of your prayer.
It is very challenging to always be an excellent student at the school of faith. You will sometimes make mistakes and experience defeats; you will often have to step back and start over due to a lack of faith or inadequate preparation. In the school of faith, temporary defeats are considered normal.
Taking a temporary retreat is normal so that you can then launch a great victorious attack. In other words, there will be no situations in your life where you will not make mistakes. No matter what God has entrusted to you, you need faith. Everything He tells you, He speaks to your spirit. But to be able to convey this to others through your soul, through your knowledge, you need a certain amount of skills and experiences.
That’s why you have to make room for a certain number of unintended distortions and obvious errors. But you should not be afraid of that because if you are afraid, you will not be able to do anything for God. You must do everything by faith. He cannot use you if you do not have faith. Doubts can extinguish any spiritual gift.
The devil will always attack you with thoughts. He knows that you cannot climb the ladder of the Kingdom of God without faith. That’s why he will try to hinder your walk with doubts. You cannot accomplish anything worthwhile if you are afraid. Fear destroys faith. People who are afraid will not be able to do anything in the spiritual realm or in the Kingdom of God. Most of these people are paralyzed by fear; in fear, they have become spiritually impotent because the devil has smothered their faith with fear.
A fearful man will never be able to climb far on the ladder; he will always remain at the bottom of the rank. Faith is the ladder by which you climb. Let your faith go ahead of you. If something didn’t work the first time, try again. Don’t be afraid to admit your mistakes. We all make mistakes. But if you let a mistake lead you to stagnation, you will not be able to climb God’s ladder. Be clear about the goals of your ministry and focus on them, even if they seem impossible. Pray to God and say, “I believe.”
