Certain Communities Are Controlled by Others.
Some communities on earth lived in harmony with simplicity, humility, and mutual respect. The members of these communities believed that they were all equal despite having different roles within the community. They all worked towards the same goal, and the community was more important than the individual. Families were united and flourishing, as cases of divorce were very rare, almost non-existent.
These communities adhered strictly to natural and supernatural laws, convinced that they would be judged later by the author of these laws. Children obeyed their parents, and women were under the mission of their husbands. Children belonged to the community in such a way that any parent had the right to supervise and correct in case of misconduct. Children recognized all parents in their community as fathers and mothers with authority over them.
However, at some point in their history, these communities were invaded by other systems of thought embodied by individuals who came from distant lands in search of human and material resources to exert greater control over territories. To succeed in their mission and take control of these communities, the invaders had to attack the thoughts of their targets first. Thus, through numerous cunning and subtle strategies, the invader managed to replace thoughts of unity and solidarity with division and individualism.
Simplicity, humility, and respect gave way to vanity, pride, and contempt. Where children once feared and respected parents for who they were, respect became conditioned by the parents’ socio-economic status. The number of divorces and illegitimate children increased significantly. All this disorder created an excellent breeding ground where diseases, crimes, murders, wars, and all other kinds of abominations would proliferate.
The invaders’ plan worked only because the affected communities did not guard their thoughts with seriousness and determination. I want to emphasize here that this book is neither a trial of intent nor a political denunciation. Its sole purpose is to raise awareness of the vital importance of thoughts for the life of an individual, a family, a community, a country, a continent, and all humanity.
The Consumer Society
Thomas J. Stanley, the author of “The Millionaire Next Door,” reveals the secret of the wealthiest men and women on earth. He speaks of real facts as he himself met and interviewed the world’s richest people. The description the author gives of the planet’s wealthiest is entirely contrary to what films, magazines, television, and all other media suggest.
Most people who only have a media-provided image of wealth are far from imagining that the vast majority of the world’s richest live in houses averaging $300,000, buy cars one or two years after their first release instead of new ones, and purchase their clothes in regular stores. The real image of the rich, as described by Thomas J. Stanley, is what the Creator intended for humans.
The Creator wants every man to be found a good steward of the resources entrusted to him. The rich described by Stanley are aware of every expense, limiting it to what is useful and not what is allowed. These rich individuals refuse to be slaves to fashion or other gadgets. “Everything is permissible for me, but not everything is beneficial; everything is permissible for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.” 1 Corinthians 6:12
However, these rich individuals are sources of blessing for humanity through the many jobs they create and the solutions their companies provide to the whole earth in the form of products and services. All this makes them the salt of the earth. The enemies of God’s plan for acquiring and managing wealth attack the thoughts of all human beings through all kinds of direct or indirect advertising. Thus, very subtly, they will make you believe that you need certain things.
From the moment you let this thought possess you, you will begin to feel the need. It will only be a matter of time before you go to the cashier and spend the money with which you could have invested and created value. By spending your money at the merchant’s, you allow them to categorize you as someone who does not guard their thoughts. For this reason, you will always be one of the first people to whom they will promote their new products. Merchants will never cease to covet your thoughts, and this may seem legitimate. However, it is just as legitimate for you to guard your thoughts to be able to acquire only the things that are useful. This is how God will consider you a good steward…
