God is Interested in Fruits.
When I started writing books, I remember making a resolution to write three in 2021. I had done everything possible to achieve this, and the Lord graciously allowed me to reach my goal by the end of September that year. While I was rejoicing over this accomplishment, I heard an inner voice urging me to take a certain book from my library. I followed the voice’s guidance and took the book in question.
As I was flipping through it, I felt led to the last pages. I realized they contained a list of books that this author had already written. I began to count them and was surprised to find there were more than seventy. At that moment, I understood that the Lord wanted to teach me not to rejoice over having written three books, because the potential He had given me should produce a hundred books.
From that day, I resolved to write five books each year. I continually thank God for allowing me to realize that His will was for me to write a very large number of books. If the Lord hadn’t called my attention to it, I probably wouldn’t have written more than ten books in my entire life. The truth is that we shouldn’t wait for God to call our attention as He did regarding the number of books my life should produce. The Bible has already made it clear that God’s perfect will is for each of us to bear much fruit.
“If you bear much fruit, it is to my Father’s glory that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” John 15:8
When I was ignorant of God’s thought regarding abundance, I often judged people who aspired for more. I didn’t understand why a multimillionaire continued to energetically strive to reach a billion. I didn’t understand why an owner of a hundred buildings continued to work hard to double or triple the number. Today, I realize that many people also don’t understand why I strive so hard to write five books each year, despite the number I have already published.
If successful entrepreneurs such as Aliko Dangote, Baba Danpullo, Strive Masiyiwa, Tony Elumelu, Folorunsho Alakija, Rajiv Ruparelia, and Phuti Mahanyele hadn’t thought about bearing much fruit, many of us wouldn’t have been able to benefit from their products and services. Without this mindset of abundant fruit, humanity would face a significant deficit in many areas.
If we want to become successful entrepreneurs, we must commit to bearing much fruit; for it is the only way to meet the needs of all humanity. Let us not underestimate what our wonderful potential is capable of producing in our lives…
