You have resumed your studies and find yourself among much younger students. This situation may expose you to delays, generational conflicts, and even humiliation. However, it is not in vain if you are being called to a new professional dimension or to the role of a teacher.

By returning to the university benches, you will gain mastery of a more lucrative activity or the discipline you will teach. Just as Moses went from Pharaoh’s court to the mountain in the desert, you will take lessons that will shape the course of your destiny. You will step back in order to move forward. In such a case, it is essential to hold firm and not give up, even if you find yourself in a position of weakness and humiliation.

This serves as an example to show that God always weakens before strengthening, and He humbles before glorifying. This is reassuring because strength without weakness is an illusion. Glory without humility is heresy. Glory without humiliation is a fleeting spark. Every person whom God has glorified was first humbled by Him. That is why, when you experience humiliation, be assured that glory is on its way. It is like a motorcade—just as motorcycle escorts announce the arrival of the President, humiliation precedes glory. One does not come without the other! (James 4:10).

Therefore, do not resist humiliation. Instead, bless God for allowing it in your life because it means your glory is near! The lower you go, the higher you will rise. The more you step back, the further you will advance.

Jesus Christ descended into the depths of the earth before being seated at the right hand of God, His Father! (1 Peter 3:22; Mark 19:19). The more you are humbled, the more you will be exalted. “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you in due time“ (1 Peter 5:6).

In short, in order to elevate you, God makes you step back and strips you… because He is behind it all. Moses and Gideon experienced this. Their stripping was for their own good!
