If you believe in Jesus Christ with all your heart and trust in His written Word, then also believe in the Holy Spirit, and He will introduce excellence into your life. Daniel had an excellent spirit.

“Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.” (Daniel 6:3)

You too can have an excellent spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of excellence. When He comes into your life, there will be excellence in your mindset, excellence in your work, and excellence in your health. There will be excellence in everything that concerns you, just as the Psalmist said: “The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me” (Psalm 138:8).

The Bible says in 3 John 1:2: “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.“

This is the Spirit of excellence at work. Excellence means prospering spiritually, mentally, physically, and in every area of life. What does it mean to prosper? It means to do well, to have more than enough, and to walk at a high level with God. It means being in an elevated class with God, where you can think like Him and live like Him.

The Holy Spirit will introduce excellence into your life, and your health will also reflect this excellence. It won’t be fever one morning and hypertension the next. No! He will introduce excellence into your life.

“He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.” (Psalm 1:3)

When you have the Holy Spirit in your life, you will be like a tree planted by streams of water. You will bear fruit in season, meaning that every time you are supposed to produce fruit, you will not fail. In other words, there will never be a time when you cannot reap a harvest. It also says, “Your leaves will not wither,” and finally, “Whatever you do will prosper.”

Everything you undertake will turn into success. Why? Because the Holy Spirit—the Spirit of excellence—is in your life.

“I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field, so that you will no longer suffer disgrace among the nations because of famine. Then you will remember your evil ways and wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your sins and detestable practices. I want you to know that I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Sovereign Lord. Be ashamed and disgraced for your conduct, people of Israel!” (Ezekiel 36:30-32)

Do you see what God is saying here? He says, “I am doing this, not because you have paid the price or done anything about it. It is not because you appear good; it is not because you have prayed so much; it is not because of anything you have done, but I am doing it because this has always been My plan.” Now read what He says next:

“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will resettle your towns, and the ruins will be rebuilt. The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through it. They will say, ‘This land that was laid waste has become like the garden of Eden; the cities that were lying in ruins, desolate and destroyed, are now fortified and inhabited.’ Then the nations around you that remain will know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt what was destroyed and have replanted what was desolate. I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will do it.” (Ezekiel 36:33-36)

God says, “I will do it!” That is what He wants to do for you. That is what His Spirit will accomplish in your life if you allow Him…
