Increase Your Level Of Knowledge On The Concept Of Model.
There is power in following a role model. It is important to have someone who can inspire, encourage, and serve as a model in all areas of your life. A role model is someone who serves as a reference for many. They inspire others to want to be like them, often the younger ones. They are also seen as a mentor, someone who has already achieved what we would like to accomplish tomorrow.
A role model is also a way of living, embodying customs to maintain a certain cultural balance. These are identifiable people who, through their exploits or actions, become inspirational. Role models have a huge impact on individuals and society, though this impact is not always positive. That’s why it is important to carefully choose your role model or mentor. We observe our role model, and since their approach seems to work, we want to follow the same path or listen to their advice on their journey. A child will be inspired by the people in charge of them: their teacher, their father, their mother if we stick to the family sphere.
On television, radio, and social media, people are fascinated by great achievements. It is everyone’s responsibility to sort through, question their journey, and know how to recognize a good model from a bad one… And later work to become a good model for their generation. That’s influence! How to put it into practice: Here is a checklist of some questions to ask yourself before choosing your mentor, role model, or influencer.
Beyond all these points, invite the divine into the choice that will determine your success tomorrow.
- Can you trace their personal and professional journey, as well as the source of their material and financial wealth (books, achievements, media, testimonials, archives, etc.)?
- How was their notoriety built?
- How long did it take them to reach this level: was it a quick success or was their notoriety built observably over time?
- What values do they share and promote in their way of speaking, behaving, and acting?
- Are the values they share contrary to good manners, morals, ethics, and the education given to you by your parents? Your parental figures?
- Since following this person, have you become aware of your own dark areas, shortcomings, and flaws?
- Since following this person, have you improved your character or achieved useful things for yourself and those around you?
- Have you become a better person?
- Have your relationships with others become healthier and more balanced?
- Does your circle see positive changes in you since you started following this person?
- Does following this person bring you closer to GOD or take you further away?
- Does following this person encourage you towards compromise or the worship of integrity?
- Does following this person make you feel more complexed, envious?
- Does this person tell you the truth about the hidden side of vices, customs, and deviant behaviors that undermine the youth and their consequences on their future?
- Does this person distance you from bad morals and the enemies of your youth: trivializing sex, harmful love of money, deviant behaviors, substance abuse, rebellion, etc.?
- Does this person lead you to depend on them or to be autonomous and take charge of your own life?
