NO HARM BEFALLS THE RIGHTEOUS.
“No harm befalls the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble.“ — Proverbs 12:21
This is what I was telling you the day before yesterday: God’s will for us is peace! However, if you have a background in traditional religion (whether Catholic, Evangelical, or otherwise), it is very likely that you struggle with this biblical truth. You might say, “I know righteous people who are burdened with troubles, and wicked people who suffer no harm! No, sometimes God wants our misfortune!“
If the enemy manages to make you believe (or if your own ignorance or unbelief leads you to think) that God sometimes wants your misfortune, you will never be able to overcome it, and you truly need to change your mindset on this matter. If we are struck by what seems to be misfortune, “we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him” (Romans 8:28).
Our mindset should be: “No harm will befall me,” and not “Misfortune can happen to me at any time.” Here is a verse that truly blesses me: “He does not fear bad news” (Psalm 112:7).
This speaks of the man who fears the Lord! It speaks of us!
I encourage you to read the entire Psalm 112 and confess it for yourself! Here are a few excerpts:
“Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in His commands. His children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. Light dawns in the darkness for the upright (…) He will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever. He does not fear bad news (…) He has no fear (…); his head is lifted in glory (…).“
I declare: I proclaim Psalm 112 and confess it over my life…
