SPIRITUAL WARFARE.
Fight in the Spirit and claim what belongs to you, because as I have said before, though we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh.
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.” 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (KJV)
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11 (KJV)
The word “wiles” comes from the Greek word methodias, which means “schemes,” “strategies,” or “methods” used to lure, enslave, and trap human souls in sin, thereby nullifying the work of the Holy Spirit. This is why we must not ignore these schemes and plans that Satan uses to trap our souls in sin.
It is said that in the last days, strange spirits will manifest, and humans will be selfish and lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.
Satan is a master strategist. Therefore, we must not be ignorant of his devices.
“…so that we may not be taken advantage of by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his devices.” 2 Corinthians 2:11 (KJV)
He seeks to gain an advantage over us, but we must not be unaware of his plans because we overcome through knowledge. Knowledge of the Word is vital.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.” Ephesians 6:12-17 (KJV)
This challenge is not between human beings. Therefore, you should not fight someone just because a prophet tells you that your relative is spiritually working against you. It is a spiritual matter, and it is the spirit behind the person that must be destroyed, not the person. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers, and spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. Our fight is thus against spiritual entities.
“I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” John 14:30 (KJV)
What an impressive statement: “The ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” This is a powerful declaration. Jesus was the first and only one who could make such a statement in His time. This demonstrates that Jesus was perfect, which is why we must strive for perfection. Satan could find no scandal, no weakness, no sin in Him. If he were to come now, could we speak like Jesus? Let sin become a thing of the past.
Satan has rights granted to him as the prince of this world. These rights were given to him by Adam. When God created man, both the man and the woman were named Adam. It was the man who named his wife Eve after he sinned. The woman was deceived the day Adam sinned. The man should have corrected and resisted his wife instead of sinning.
From that point on, man transferred his authority to the devil. Thus, Jesus was merely acknowledging that he was the prince of this world. During the temptation, the devil himself told Jesus that the world had been delivered to him.
Spirits are transferred through what we see and hear. “So then faith comes by hearing…” Romans 10:17 (KJV)
What we hear and see can easily transmit the spirit of fear and defeat into our lives. Faith is also a spirit. As such, it is also transferred by what we hear.
“And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak.” 2 Corinthians 4:13 (KJV)
Jesus said: “The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63 (KJV)
You do and become what you see. Watching pornography will lead you to do what you see…
