In some churches, there are formalities to complete before engaging in a prophetic consultation. One of these involves filling out a consultation form with your name and date of birth. This practice is already tangible proof revealing the operating method of the prophet receiving you. Indeed, they seek to decipher your date of birth through zodiac signs to gather information about your spiritual, social, and emotional life.

It is important to understand that all these predictive tools allow false prophets to convey only information related to the spiritual realities of your existence, without granting any access to God’s divine plans for your life. It is like being given all the chemical elements that make up a pharmaceutical product without revealing the purpose or hidden reason behind its creation. These details will not prevent you from burying those suffering from an illness for which the medicine in question is the cure.

Prophecy, as God’s plan, reveals the purpose of our existence and the intentions or projects of the Creator. It does not depend on zodiac signs—whether a lucky or unlucky day, a color, or a year of happiness—because His plan for us is one of prosperity and not disaster (Jeremiah 29:19).

The Differences Between Prophecy and Prediction

• Prophecy is the revelation of a divine project to be carried out according to the will of its author (God), whereas prediction is a preconceived judgment, a circumstantial assumption about what may happen.
• Prophecy is divine truth, based on God’s omniscience, whereas prediction is an expression of probability based on human reasoning.
• Prophecy is the revelation of a plan of happiness for every existence, whereas prediction is a conjecture about temporary and circumstantial happiness—happiness linked to a specific day, month, year, color, or a particular sign of one’s star.

Thus, we affirm that prophecy is vastly different from prediction, and consulting a person who makes predictions is a sin of spiritual prostitution. It is a practice that connects us to demonic spirits and prevents us from knowing the true purpose of our existence on earth.
