THE ABUNDANT LIFE includes physical health. It is God’s will that His children be healed in their bodies as well as spiritually saved.

Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases. — Psalm 103:3

Healing and forgiveness are gifts from God to be received by faith.
Faith expects God to do what He has promised. That’s why faith comes by hearing… the Word of Christ. — Romans 10:17
God has given us His very great and precious promises — 2 Peter 1:4 — to reveal His will. His testament, His will, His promise, and His Word are one and the same.

To receive any of the blessings of the abundant life from God, it must come to us through faith. To have such faith, we must be convinced that the blessing is truly God’s will for us. As long as we are not absolutely certain that God wants to give it to us, we cannot claim it with confidence.

We are instructed to ask, firmly believing that we will receive. We must ask with faith and trust, without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. — James 1:6–7 (PV)
And if we don’t ask in faith, how can we expect to receive?

We cannot find salvation until we believe that God loves us and that Christ died for our sins — until we are convinced that it is God’s will to forgive us. Then, by faith, we accept this gift of new life and are born again.
The Bible is clear: salvation is for whosoever will. (John 3:16; Romans 10:13; Revelation 22:17) — It is for everyone.

In the same way, if we are sick, we must know God’s promises of healing, which will produce in us the assurance that it is His will to heal. Without that assurance, how can we ask in faith?

Religious tradition teaches people to pray for healing by saying: “If it is God’s will.” Since they are unsure whether God wants to heal them, very few people receive the answer they desire.

But God has abundantly promised healing for the bodies of His children.
It is clear, according to the Bible, that the Abundant Life includes physical health for God’s glory.

Notice what happened shortly after Christ’s resurrection — showing that God’s will has not changed since then:

Many signs and wonders were performed among the people by the hands of the apostles. The number of believers in the Lord, men and women, grew more and more; so much so that people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats… Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and all of them were healed. — Acts 5:12–16

These words, all of them were healed, reveal God’s will today for anyone who is sick. This is the record of what happened during Peter’s ministry in Jerusalem after Jesus had returned to the Father.

All were healed. This clearly demonstrated that Christ’s ministry did not change after His ascension.

All were healed. God was fulfilling His healing covenant: I am the Lord who heals you. — Exodus 15:26. This covenant included everyone (men and women) who were in Jerusalem when Peter ministered.

All were healed. The entire nation of Israel experienced this. There was not one feeble person among their tribes. — Psalm 105:37

Among the multitudes who followed Jesus, great crowds followed him, and he healed them all. — Matthew 12:15

This is what happened to all the Israelites who had been bitten by fiery serpents: Whoever looked at the bronze serpent lifted on a pole [a figure of Jesus lifted up on the cross] — John 3:14–15 — “lived.” — Numbers 21:8–9

This is what happened when He sent His word and healed them. — Psalm 107:20. And it is for this purpose that His healing Word is sent to you today — so that all may be healed.

All were healed is a promise for today. It concerns you. It can save you from premature death: I will take sickness away from among you… I will fulfill the number of your days.” — Exodus 23:25–26

So that all may be healed, Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law. — Galatians 3:13
That curse included all diseases and plagues — Deuteronomy 28:61 — known to humanity, which apply to all of us.
This blessing was secured for everyone at Calvary, when He bore our griefs and carried our diseases. — Isaiah 53:4

This became possible because by His stripes we are healed. — Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24
We means all of us, each and every one.

Jesus came down from heaven not to do His own will, but the will of the One who sent Him — John 6:38.
Throughout His earthly ministry, He never ceased to heal all the sick. — Matthew 12:15; 14:36; Luke 6:19; Acts 10:38
In doing so, He proved His will to heal them all.

All were healed was the standard in His ministry. And this is what He promised to the believing Church:
Whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing. — John 14:12

All were healed — this is what Jesus began to do and teach until the day He was taken up into heaven — Acts 1:12 — and what He continued to do (through the ministry of the apostles) after His ascension, seated at the right hand of the Father — Acts 5:16, 28:9.

All were healed is therefore God’s will now, with Christ seated in heaven: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. — Hebrews 13:8

All were healed. It is God’s will, just as much as it is His will to forgive every repentant sinner.
He forgives [and] heals. — Psalm 103:3

All were healed. This blessing is for every city. Jesus said: Whatever city you enter, heal the sick who are there. — Luke 10:8–9 This is for all cities and all the sick, without exception.

All were healed. That is why entire cities began to speak of Jesus, and He became a center of public attention — just as in Jerusalem.

All were healed. This will lead multitudes to hear the Gospel — Acts 5:16. People will come from nearby cities and towns.

All were healed. That is how the number of those who believe in the Lord — men and women — will increase more and more — Acts 5:14.
The Bible tells us that because of this miracle of healing, many of those who heard the word believed… about five thousand people. — Acts 4:4

All were healed. This is one of the ways God bore witness to this great salvation — with signs, wonders, various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit. — Hebrews 2:3–4

This is the kind of ministry that, during our own crusades in 80 nations, brought thousands and thousands of non-Christians to believe the Gospel.

All were healed. Even before the sick had been brought from surrounding areas and laid out in the streets of Jerusalem…
