Lack of reverence during the service is another way a lot of people despise the Church regularly today. 

“Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil. Be not rash with thy mouth and let not thine heart be hasty to utter anything before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth therefore let thy words be few” Ecclesiastes 5:1-2 

The Church needs to be respected as you come to worship God. But many people don’t reverence the God of the Church even while the service or worship is going on; they are outside chatting with their friends or answering their phone calls and even checking their Facebook friends while the service is going on. Some even leave their phones open during the service just to cause distraction in the midst of the message. 

They don’t care to take instructions: When the pastor or the leaders ask them to stand up they will refuse. Some don’t care to take notes while the preacher is preaching because they feel they know it all already that is unteachable spirit and rebellion. It is good to come to Church with your Bible, pen, and paper to take note for careful study at home (Acts 17:10-11). 

Many also come late to the service and they know they were late and instead of accepting the seat the ushers will give to them, they will argue and want to have their way to the front seat while the pastor is already preaching. This is a wrong attitude in the house of God. 

What you cannot do if you go to a function where the president has already seated, if you do it to the Church, you have no respect for the institution and the owner –Jesus Christ. When you don’t make adequate preparation for the Church service, you are just despising the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
