THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF ALTARS.
1st Altar: The very first altar in this world, before which no other can stand, is the altar of Golgotha.
Many Christians today do not understand that “Golgotha was an altar.” No sorcerer in the world, nor any demon, can kill a child of God as long as that child remains firmly attached to the work of redemption accomplished and completed on the altar of Golgotha.
2nd Altar: The altar of your church, where your umbilical cord is spiritually attached.
No altar exists by itself; an altar is always linked and connected to a higher altar. The sacrifice of Christ is the supreme one. A man of God who wants to see his church grow must offer his body as a sacrifice—that is, he must fully dedicate himself to the mission for which he has been called.
“I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.“ —Romans 12:1
This is why we see miracles and wonders in certain churches. The sacrifice mentioned here is not about sacrificing animals or humans, as satanic agents posing as servants of God often do to deceive many. The sacrifice in question is a life of prayer, sanctification, consecration, purity of heart, and offering one’s material and financial resources on the altar for the advancement of God’s kingdom.
When an altar lacks power, it may be due to the type of sacrifice placed upon it. Why do we see some powerful men of God performing miracles and wonders, while others see nothing happening in their churches? Yet, it is the same God and the same Holy Spirit! Ask yourself this question!
3rd Altar: The mobile altar—your heart.
The altar must be free from all impurities and defilements. Many Christians tend to think that when the Bible speaks of the heart, it refers to the physical organ beating on the left side of our chest. However, the heart of man refers to his thoughts.
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” —Proverbs 4:23
Every altar must be pure and holy.
“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.“ —Matthew 5:23-24
This means that if you approach the altar with a burdened heart, nothing will happen. There must be a covenant. This is why God does not act in a couple where the two hearts are not aligned. That is why God says, “the two shall become one,” because their hearts are identical.
4th Altar: Your personal altar.
As mentioned earlier, the personal altar you establish must be connected to a higher altar. Where is your spiritual umbilical cord attached? With whom are you connected through your umbilical cord?
When we talk about an altar, we are talking about a covenant. Christ was in covenant with the Father, which led Him to Golgotha.
The altar of your church must be in covenant with Christ. The altar of your heart must be in covenant with your prophetic altar. The altar you build for different situations in your life must be connected to your prophetic altar.
No altar exists without a covenant or sacrifice.
There are four types of family-related altars:
- Ancient altars and ancestral covenants: These are agreements made before you were born. Many suffer from hereditary diseases due to these covenants. Some Christians even claim with pride that illness is part of their family lineage.
- The altar of the community: In some families, when children are born, they are presented to the moon, or rituals are performed before an altar (as was the case in my family).
- Bloodline covenants: These are agreements made to sacrifice children within a family. As a result, men may permanently be unable to marry, or women may be unable to bear children, even if they do get married.
- Personal covenants: Often, we break covenants and sever ties, but we do not destroy the altars to which our lives have been connected. It is only after doing this that we can establish God’s altar…
