In my thirtieth year, on the fifth day of the fourth month, while I was among the exiles by the Kebar River, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God. (Ezekiel 1:1) In the book of Revelation, John speaks of hearing a voice telling him to “come up here.”

After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” (Revelation 4:1)

The Lord always tells us to “come up here.” I remember in the book of Matthew, the Lord rebuked the Pharisees because they did not want to enter the heavenly realms and prevented others from doing so as well. Even at that time, there were these religious leaders who were offended by people who wanted to have and did have that close relationship with God.

Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to“. (Matthew 23:13)

My very first experience in the heavenly realm was with the Lord Jesus, who took me to a high place in the stars and spoke to me. Although I have not had as many experiences in the Heavens as I have had across the Earth, I have had several experiences in the heavenly places with angels and saints.

Many of my journeys to the heavenly places have also begun in my prayer chair. This place of prayer has truly proven to be a wonderful place to be positioned for the supernatural things of God. One of my very first journeys was cut short due to demonic interference.

The Park

I had entered a heavenly park one night in the spirit and was completely overwhelmed by the beauty of the place. The lawns were so beautiful and green. Hills and colorful flowers were all around. Everything in this place was beautiful and alive! I was excited to have the chance to see it. All of a sudden, I felt someone slip some kind of bag over my head and then I could not see anything. I did not know what to do at that moment and found myself back home in the natural realm.

Whenever something like that happens or if something occurs that confuses or surprises you or even if something tries to pull you out of the spiritual realm, relax and seek and wait for God to do something to help you. Do not let it throw you off. If you get upset, it will only hasten your return to the natural realm.

The Stars

This journey was one that happened quite often. It does not seem to take much to propel you into the stars. Perhaps because it is such an exciting prospect or maybe because the Lord wants us to be in awe of His creation and enjoy it up close. Either way, it is a great thing.

At the beginning of my foray into the clouds and stars, I was reprimanded by an angel for seeking the supernatural outside of God. This made me cautious to only do the right thing. To seek only those experiences and journeys into the spiritual realms that were sanctioned by the Lord. Not long after the reprimand (a few weeks), another angel showed up and ended up taking me flying with him. So, I understood that it was fine to travel supernaturally as long as it was as a son and not as a random thrill-seeker.

One of my earlier journeys was a trip that went from praying to sleeping, to waking up and soaring through the stars. I was traveling so fast that I could not believe it myself. With full awareness of the stars, nebulae, and space, the consciousness of the cold and feeling it on my spiritual body, I had no intention of stopping. I just kept going. At some point, I was aware that someone or something had stopped me and brought me back. More than likely an angel who thought I had enough.

One night, I was praying in my prayer chair and decided to enter the spirit and take a prayer walk around the property. As I told you before, I knew that if I engaged my imagination outrageously, the connection to the spiritual realm would happen much more quickly. So, I saw myself going through the ceiling to the roof.

It only took a few minutes to be fully engaged in the spiritual dimension, walking on my roof, praying, and worshiping. Did you know you can shout and sing very loudly in the spirit? That’s what I did. I was jumping and twirling in the spirit on the roof and shouting and singing “Jesus is Lord!” and “Jesus is King!” and all kinds of other declarations about the Lord…
