The Passover in the Old Testament gives us a good understanding of blood. The blood on the doorposts for the Israelites was their plea against the angel of death as he passed through the land.

Knowledge of the power of the blood, as seen in the previous chapter of this book, gives us insight into what we can plead for and when we can do it.
Let me introduce you briefly so you can plead the blood of Jesus:

  1. When you need victory over darkness.
“They overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives so much as to fear death”. Revelation 12:11
  2. When you need healing.
“But he was wounded for our sins, Broken for our iniquities; The chastisement that gives us peace fell on him, and by his stripes we are healed. “. Isaiah 53:5
  3. When you need protection from evil.
“The blood will be a sign to you in the houses where you are; I will see the blood, and I will pass over you, and there will be no plague to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt”. Exodus 12:13
  4. When you need deliverance.
“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us – for it is written: Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree, so that the blessing of Abraham might be fulfilled for the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, and we received by faith the Spirit that was promised”. Galatians 3:13-14
